Final Route

The almost final route, actually it will change most probably during the drive. I have only 10 days so I have to choose carefully. I have not been to Cape Breton, so here I might add a night extra, meaning will have to drive one day rather long from Baddeck to Beaver Harbour and Saint Andrews in New Brunswick.

So the plan after 3 day stopover in Iceland (if volcano eruption is not an issue ...) is now:

  • 20-06 Day 4: Arrival Halifax - stay in Salmon River Bridge (Nova Scotia, NS, Salmon River House)
  • 21-06 Day 5: Salmon River Bridge (NS) -> Cape Breton (NS)
  • 22-06 Day 6: Cape Breton (NS)
  • 23-06 Day 7: Cape Breton (NS)
  • 24-06 Day 8: Cape Breton (NS)
  • 25-06 Day 9: Cape Breton (NS) -> Beaver Harbour (New Brunswick, NB) -> Saint Andrews (NB, Rossmount Inn)
  • 26-06 Day 10: Saint Andrews area (NB, Rossmount Inn)
  • 27-06 Day 11: Saint Andrews (NB) -> Saint John (NB) -> Ferry -> Digby (NS) -> Kingsburg (NS, Beach House)
  • 28-06 Day 12: Kingsburg - Lunenburg area (NS, Beach House)
  • 29-06 Day 13: Kingsburg - Lunenburg area (NS, Beach House)
  • 30-06 Day 14: Kingsburg (NS) -> Halifax (NS) -> Flight -> Iceland -> Flight -> Amsterdam

Rossmount Inn

Just reserved me 2 days in the Rossmount Inn in New Brunswick. Just before I return to Nova Scotia, end of June, I will stay 2 days in this region.

The Inn, a 3-storey manor house is part of an 87 acre estate set between the forest and the sea. It includes Chamcook Mountain, the highest point in the Passamaquoddy Bay area with breathtaking vistas over the Bay, Chamcook Lake, St. Croix River and the coast of Maine.

Canada here I come

Well I still have to work hard for 6 weeks before I will start my Summer Holiday to Iceland and Canada, but already got me my info papers and vouchers from Aireka, so it is nearing.
I also tried to get me a Canadian website domain (officially not possible as non-Canadian), but due to the people at Fatcow hosting I was able to do so. So my traveling you can check not only under hpkok.com, but now also at hpkok.ca :-).

The route:

Changing House

Just heard I might "need" to change the School House for the Beach House (I would say no issue :-) as I love this design ) in Nova Scotia, the last few days of my upcoming Summer holiday in Nova Scotia.
